Yew Bowl

Roger has hand-turned this bowl from a single piece of matured yew. This bowl showcases the species’ warm honey-gold heartwood contrasted with striking darker growth rings and occasional natural knots. Smoothly finished to a tactile, satin sheen, the bowl retains crisp, elegant lines that highlight the wood’s natural grain patterns and subtle variations in colour.

Ideal as a decorative centrepiece or for holding dried fruits, nuts, or small household items, it is sealed with food-safe beeswax for durability and safe contact with food. Each piece is one-of-a-kind—slight irregularities and natural features are celebrated as part of the wood’s character.
