Ash Vase

£42.00

Ash Vase

A handcrafted ash vase turned and finished in my workshop. The piece celebrates the pale, warm grain of ash — strong, tactile, and quietly elegant. This. Ash vase is turned from a single piece of native ash, chosen for straight grain and structural integrity, then hollowed to create a balanced silhouette that is both decorative and functional.

This Ash Vase measures approx: 6 1/2” tall x 4” wide

  • Function: Decorative vessel, suitable for dried flowers and arrangements; not recommended for standing water unless lined

Design notes

Care instructions

  • Do not place filled with standing water unless the vase is specifically lined for wet use.

  • Clean with a soft cloth; avoid harsh cleaners and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat.

  • If the surface becomes dry, refresh with a thin coat of furniture oil or a wax buff.

Commissioning and teaching

  • Bespoke commissions available: select size, profile, and level of finishing. I can advise on the best form for your intended use.

  • I offer one-to-one woodturning tuition in my workshop; learn basic spindle and hollowing techniques using ash and other timbers. AWGB-approved tutoring.

For enquiries about current availability, commission lead times, or to arrange a viewing and tuition session, contact me at my workshop with your preferred dimensions and any design preferences.
