11" Purple Heart Platter

£89.00

Hand-turned by Roger from gorgeous Purpleheart, this 11-inch platter showcases the wood’s deep, vibrant hues—rich purples that mellow to warm browns with time and light. The colour is entirely natural and is not dyed at all. The wood comes from the Peltogyne tree which grows in Brazil.

Meticulously shaped on the lathe, the gently sloped rim and shallow well create a graceful profile suited to serving, display, or as a centerpiece. The surface is finely sanded and finished with a food-safe beeswax to enhance the grain and provide a durable, low-sheen protection.

Each platter is a one-off piece, revealing unique grain patterns and natural character marks that celebrate the timber’s individuality. Ideal for collectors or as a functional accent in the dining room, this platter blends utility with the striking colour and stability purpleheart is prized for.

Dimensions: 11" X 2”

Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth; avoid prolonged soaking and direct heat.
